THE FEMININE RHYTHM METHOD
Learning to trust yourself.
Learning to trust yourself again, this may not even be something that you have thought about as to why you feel emotionally overwhelmed. Nowadays there is a lot of talk on self-love. But what about trust? What about the big questions of what I believe. Why I stand in abusive friendships and relationships a little too long? Why I promise myself every week I will stop or start something and every time I fail? How that may be eroding my relationship to myself.
Asking big questions, do I believe in God? Why do we suffer? Why do I actually make the choices I make? Not just the trauma, or childhood development, some things are simply patterns and observations we have learnt. The Method gives us a way to pause, notice and choose. It is a practice of listening to yourself and finding your voice in what happens next.

01 / THE FIVE STEPS
Pause. Awareness. Choice. Self-trust. Agency.
01
Pause
Creating space between experience and response.
Before we can choose, we need space. The pause is the moment in which we step back from automatic reaction and give ourselves the opportunity to notice what is happening.
02
Awareness
Learning to notice what is happening within you.
Awareness is learning to observe your internal and external experience. Your thoughts. Your emotions. Your physical sensations. Your environment. Your patterns. Your menstrual cycle. The more clearly we can notice, the more information we have to work with.
03
Choice
Recognising that you have options.
Choice gives us somewhere to go with what we notice. Rather than automatically acting from a thought, emotion or pattern, we can begin to ask: What do I want to do with this? What do I need? What choices are available to me?
04
Self-trust
Learning to trust your capacity to understand yourself.
It means developing confidence in your ability to listen to yourself, gather information, question what you are told, learn from experience and make decisions in your best interest. It is the gradual process of becoming someone you can rely on.
05
Agency
Choosing how you want to move forward.
Agency is where understanding becomes action. It is the ability to participate actively in the direction of your own life. Not because you have complete control over everything that happens to you, but because you have a voice in what you do next.
02 / WHERE IT BEGINS
We believe in meeting yourself honestly. Vulnerability is the starting point. But vulnerability cannot be cultivated in an unsafe environment. Think of your true self as an extremely scared child lost in a cave. For that child to feel safe, to be radically honest, they have to first have an internal and external environment where they are allowed to feel all their feelings without any judgement.
When we can say "this is what I am experiencing" without shame, we can begin to figure out what is best for us. Vulnerability is the condition for the Method, not one of the five steps.
Where it begins:
vulnerability.
03 / A METHOD, NOT A RULEBOOK
A method, not a rulebook.
We don't believe there is one correct way to navigate a menstrual cycle, emotions, PMDD, relationships, work or life. Different women need different things at different times.
The aim is not to give you all the answers. It is to help you develop the ability to trust yourself again.
04 / FROM UNDERSTANDING TO PRACTICE
QUESTIONS
What do I believe?
Lived experience, sensation, cyclical patterns and context.
EDUCATION
Research.
The body, brain, menstrual cycle and human experience - psychology and physiology, and anthropology and philosophy too.
CHOICE
Now what do I do?
Meditation is one of the primary practices we use to develop the capacity to pause and become aware.
And community creates a space where women can practise being vulnerable, honest and seen without shame.
Now what do I do?
